One of my female dogs is prone to cystitis, anyone have any ideas what the cause may be?

She is 6 years old now, has had several bouts and responds quickly to antibiotics, but the vet has advised on her next bout they want to do an ultrasound. Does anyone know of a diet that may help prevent cystitis, I do know it’s quite common for females to get cystitis once in a while, but I am concerned that she seems to be getting them more than her share.
